With over 15 years in the UK’s heating, ventilation, gas and water infrastructure sectors, Harshal Sankhe leads hygrid with a mission to simplify renewable energy adoption. His expertise in energy compliance frameworks — including UK EPC calculations, SAP and BREEAM — keeps hygrid’s solutions aligned with sustainability goals and real CO₂ reductions.
His work on hydrogen began with the EU’s H2 OCEAN project (FP7), developing open-sea platforms for hydrogen generation, and his 2012–2013 MSc thesis at Cranfield University on hydrogen production from offshore floating wind turbines. He is an alumnus of the I.E.C.T. Hermann Hauser Entrepreneurship School.
